Flames of What?!!!

An Article by C.J. Young

Hello Everyone,

I know what you are thinking! What is a Flames of War post doing on a Warhammer/Warmachine blog? Well I must confess that I am big into Flames of War (FOW) to and have been a WWII history nut since I was Young. I have a mid-war Italian Army and over 8000 points in late-war Germans, but I know
I have still not answered your question of why this is on Delusions of Grandeur.

Well the answer is that many of the painting and modeling techniques used in FOW are very compatable with 40k/Warmachine. For example, I have used methods of painting FOW German tanks for my 40k tanks and viceversa to great effect! I will not write to often on FOW, because this is primarly a 40k/Warmachine blog, but expect to see a few articles of FOW.

However, I will always try to show how the hobby articles I do can be used on 40k/Warmachine and the occasionally tournament experience will be discussed. I have in the works an article about stick painting and hope to have that up soon.

Until then, take a look at some of my 3rd SS "Totenkopf" Panzer Division which I played at the Late War FOW Nationals Qualifier a few weeks ago in Fort Collins. Overall the army did will scoring 5th overall and won best painted! Until next time thanks for reading!
