Feast of Blades: I was there!

Wow, thought (hoped?) I was dead, right folks?  I'm sure you're thinking something along the lines of: "Can't he just be a decent human being and either delete this blog or post regularly?"

If that's the case and you actually thought something like that, then shame on you.  Seriously, that's really rude.

:-p

For those of you who care though, I recently started grad school, on top of full-time work.  So, full-time grad, full-time work, and a wifey.  No time for warhammer awesomeness lately, especially writing a blog about it.  Sadly :(

So, let's go ahead and get the

This Weekend is Feast of Blades...

Don't worry, I have shorter hair now.

...and I'm the defending champion.  For at least 1 more day.  I'll write more about it below.  For now, read my apathetic ponderings/excuse-mongerings.  I can't promise that they'll be entertaining or anything.  But, I'm not a terrible writer, so it should be at least palatable.

heh, it's no secret that I haven't been as active on the blog this week as I'd like to be.  I think I got one up on Monday, and have epic failed every other day.  Sorry, ready to hear my awesome excuse?

Well, it starts with

Feast of Blades List Submission

Hey there folks, how goes it?  I recently (i.e. today) found out that list submission for Feast of Blades is due on... today.  I thought I'd have more time to chew on a list that I like, but alas, I have not the time nor leisure I had at first desired.

So the question is, what list to submit?  I have a pretty solid iteration of my Dark Eldar list ready, but not entirely sure if I want to commit to it.  Dare I choose something radical?  Or stay with my 'trusty' wolfstar instead?

Inside this post, you'll see my 'singles' list I'm thinking about, and the doubles tournament list me and my friend are already locked into playing - 'Large Base Spam' FTW :-p

Here's the list I'm

Tournament Report: Feast of Blades FINALS (with pictures!)

Howdy folks!  How's it going?  So, I've been talking up this Feast of Blades tournament a lot, and won my qualifiers a few weeks ago.  Here's the link to that article.  The finals (at Stonebridge games in Longmont, CO) were last weekend, and I brought the exact same list as I did for the qualifiers.  In fact, I hadn't played for the 2 weeks wait it took between the Qualifiers and the Finals, due to a mix of school and spring break.

So, it was a fun tournament.  Lots of really good players- I mean, everyone who was there had taken either 1st or 2nd at their own qualifiers in order to get there.  Of the people who qualified originally, ZERO of them opted out and let someone with a lower place go in their stead.  Lots of really good players.

The tournament made use of Battle Points and

Feast of Blades Qualifier Tournament Report

Hey folks, I wrote up a battle report on my Feast of Blades experience, with all 3 games included.  However, it's on Jawaball's blog and not this one, so I figured I'd link you over there, if you actually read my stuff but not his.

Here's the link.  Let me know what you think, either here or over on the 'big time' blog :-p
