Great Article on BoLS

I don't typically read many articles on BoLS.  Mostly the stuff I read is hobby news-related stuff, and if I'm bored, I'll read a few random articles here or there.  Simply too many writers there for me to keep track of and know who writes well and who writes... um, unwell.  lol.  (plus, lots of times the articles are so short, just when I find myself getting interested, they simply end.)  Anyways,  I check there for rumors for the 'next codex', every 3 or 4 days, and today I was rewarded by finding a pretty good article.  It's not even about Grey Knights, lol

Weekly Battle Report #6: Salamanders vs. Ork Horde

What's up everyone!  As promised, I'm starting to use a different army other than my over-used Wolfstar.  I wasn't really tired of the list, but it's always been my intention to play the Salamanders once they were finished, and I finally got them done.  This game is a fun one for Salamanders, with lots of targets to try and flamer and such.  As always, there are pictures.  Read on, for the report!

Blood Angels All Assault Marines List

Today I decided I wanted to make an all-assault Blood Angels list, for funsies.  I've been thinking about it conceptually for a while, trying to decide if I thought it was competitive or not.  In the end, I think it has the potential to be competitive, but well... I'll give more thoughts on it after I post the list up.

Well, after lots of hours painting on the stupid army, it's finally done.  Finished.  Complete.  For now.  Lots of ways to make it more competitive I think, but those'll have to wait til I get more money, lol.  I took a few pictures- let me know what you think :-)

Weekly Battle Report #4: Wolfstar vs. Chaos Marines

Hey there folks, it's time for the weekly battle report!  This week brings my wolfstar face to face against an optimized Chaos Space Marine list.  Before this game, I had never actually played against Chaos, despite how much I've played my current list.  As a sidenote, very soon I'll have a different army to play as- the wolfstar as it currently is will be played no more.  Lots of updates to my wolves I want to make.

The Rather Important Counter-charge

First, please don't confuse this with the USR Counterattack.  While it's a fun USR, and can sometimes be used as it's own counter-charge, this article is about the old-fashioned 'you just exposed yourself by attacking me, so now I'm charging you back' tactic.  It's a pretty staple concept, and one that takes more than you would think to actually master.

Blood Angels: Rediscovering Efficiency

So, it's been a while since I've even thought much about my Blood Angels army, mostly because I've been painting Dark Elves, Orks, Salamanders, and Wolves as fast as I can, which leaves little room for Blood Angels.  My current Blood Angel list certainly isn't super competitive, with lots of inefficient points spent on inefficient units.  I aim to stop that inefficiency, and make the army as competitive as I can.

Weekly Battle Report #2: Wolfstar vs. Khan Double Land Raiders

Hello, and welcome to my 2nd weekly battle report!  I'm trying to give a battle report every week, and though I won't always use the same army, you'll have plenty of battle reports from which to see how my various lists play.  Here's a link to my battle reports page and to my previous week battle report.  The game I played today was against a double Land Raider list with Khan outflanking shenanigans, played by my buddy Vince.

Well, finally got a game in against the new Dark Eldar, with my friend CJ playing a proxy game with his actual Eldar army models.  None of the proxys are TOO outlandish, and we wanted to see what the new book could do.  So, he made a list and we threw down.

I keep finding places online that say that they think Wyches are good, and lots of people at my LGS seem to think they'll be amazing as well.  Maybe I'm just taking crazy pills, but I really don't see the massive draw to them that everyone seems to.
