Hi there folks, it's time for my Weekly Battle Report!  Today we see my Wolfstar facing off against Eric's Broadside spam Tau list, for the second time (he wanted a rematch).  Here's the link to our last battle.  Alright, lets start it up.

In the interest of doing something different before I start some sort of series of posts again, I figured I'd post my current Dark Elf army.  For those of you who saw the title of this post and thought it was something to do with Dark Eldar, I'm sorry- 40k has Eldar, Fantasy has Elves.  This is about the latter.

Weekly Battle Report #4: Wolfstar vs. Chaos Marines

Hey there folks, it's time for the weekly battle report!  This week brings my wolfstar face to face against an optimized Chaos Space Marine list.  Before this game, I had never actually played against Chaos, despite how much I've played my current list.  As a sidenote, very soon I'll have a different army to play as- the wolfstar as it currently is will be played no more.  Lots of updates to my wolves I want to make.

The Rather Important Counter-charge

First, please don't confuse this with the USR Counterattack.  While it's a fun USR, and can sometimes be used as it's own counter-charge, this article is about the old-fashioned 'you just exposed yourself by attacking me, so now I'm charging you back' tactic.  It's a pretty staple concept, and one that takes more than you would think to actually master.

Blood Angels: Rediscovering Efficiency

So, it's been a while since I've even thought much about my Blood Angels army, mostly because I've been painting Dark Elves, Orks, Salamanders, and Wolves as fast as I can, which leaves little room for Blood Angels.  My current Blood Angel list certainly isn't super competitive, with lots of inefficient points spent on inefficient units.  I aim to stop that inefficiency, and make the army as competitive as I can.

Weekly Battle Report #2: Wolfstar vs. Khan Double Land Raiders

Hello, and welcome to my 2nd weekly battle report!  I'm trying to give a battle report every week, and though I won't always use the same army, you'll have plenty of battle reports from which to see how my various lists play.  Here's a link to my battle reports page and to my previous week battle report.  The game I played today was against a double Land Raider list with Khan outflanking shenanigans, played by my buddy Vince.

Weekly Battle Report #1: Wolfstar vs. New Dark Eldar

Well, finally got a game in against the new Dark Eldar, with my friend CJ playing a proxy game with his actual Eldar army models.  None of the proxys are TOO outlandish, and we wanted to see what the new book could do.  So, he made a list and we threw down.

This is mostly just a list of Battle Reports I've written.  I'm going to separate the tournament reports from the single game reports, and separate the games by which army (and specific list) I used.  Expect more single game reports (with pictures!) to come, I'll try to do about one every week.

Dark Eldar- Wych theoryhammer fail

I keep finding places online that say that they think Wyches are good, and lots of people at my LGS seem to think they'll be amazing as well.  Maybe I'm just taking crazy pills, but I really don't see the massive draw to them that everyone seems to.

Local RTT Report (with pictures!)

TThis last weekend I went to a local RTT at Gryphon Games and Comics in Fort Collins.  We had 12 or 14 people there (can't remember which), which is somewhat small for a tournament around here, but it's a great opportunity to play against people you've never played against, and get a lot of games in.

Dark Eldar- shooting heavy?

I haven't looked at the new 'dex yet (though I basically have the rules down), but I have more thoughts I want to share on Dark Eldar.  Some might even be productive.  :)

Dark Eldar- already a fail?

Dark Eldar rules are out everywhere, and though I still haven't got my grubby little fingers on the actual book, I basically know the rules/point costs of stuff.  So far, I'm nervous.

Reactions on Dark Eldar- thus far

Well, lots of people have seen the new codex, and though I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy yet, I've been reading the forums like crazy for the new rumors.  Lots of information means I can start coming up with ideas for what I want to do with them eventually...
