All Quiet on the Homefront

Well, it's been a little bit since I last posted, which is alright I suppose (give you few loyal readers a little bit of a breather) but today I figured I'd break my silence by posting up a list I've been painting on a little bit lately, and recently played a game with.

Inefficient Angels

The new Blood Angels codex has been out for a while now, and I've decided that it plays decidedly differently from the way the old one played.  Perhaps this seems like an obvious observation, but to me, it wasn't at first, really.  I want to outline what I think is different, and the direction it seems that Blood Angels will be headed in a competitive setting.

Failure to not fail

Well, this weekend was 'Ard Boyz.  I took my weird Blood Angels, and (as I had planned all along) I took Mephiston.  He's just too much of a badass not to take!

Weekend Games

Between Thursday, Friday, and Saturday last weekend, I managed to play 4 games at 2500 points with my Blood Angels.  I've been studying like crazy for finals these last couple days, which is why I haven't really posted much except for the random flamer Tactica, but now that those are over (3 finals on Monday is brutal!) I have time to give recaps on the games I played.  Be forewarned- this is a pretty long post.

Burnination

Lately I've been noticing a lot of flamer love, and it seems like a lot of it is somewhat misguided.  Flamers have a pretty specific use in competitive 40k, as I see it.  This is a mini-tactica on how I think flamers should be used, and when they aren't going to be worth it.

Blood Angels vs. Khan Termies?

Well, I played another game with my Blood Angels, this time against Vince's double-raider list with Khan and Termies.  It's a tough list to play against, especially in 2500, where he has the points to field 10 las cannons.  I'll give an overview of each turn, and my thoughts.  In the end, I made a few bad mistakes, but I think I'm getting better.
