I must say I enjoyed your article, very well thought out.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05568624473254691892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270954585025025585.post-3857495910426913882011-01-13T14:46:21.462-07:002011-01-13T14:46:21.462-07:00All I'd add is that power weapons on higher in...All I'd add is that power weapons on higher initiative steps than the rest of the squad rock.
Say you have a character with a power weapon at I5, everyone of his attacks counts before the rest of your unit strikes at I4 and so on.
Thought it was worth mentioning...GDMNWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14003947144311887937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270954585025025585.post-33569084946168443252010-12-12T14:36:11.240-07:002010-12-12T14:36:11.240-07:00I suppose you should approach this on a unit level...I suppose you should approach this on a unit level, as stated units that come equipped with power weapons it's pretty a no brainer. That said I think you can make a good case for units like Sanguinary Guard taking one power fist. Other units such as tactical squads I tend to take a power fist as you've got some ablative wounds plus the fist is a much bigger threat. The thing is now you have more options - it's possible to include both in your troop choices by way of attaching characters such as Wolfguard or Sanguinary Priests. It's expensive but makes the unit much more dangerous.Terminus Esthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14216648052452417162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270954585025025585.post-11573695677724139142010-12-10T18:48:41.523-07:002010-12-10T18:48:41.523-07:00Well said, this is how I've always seen it, yo...Well said, this is how I've always seen it, you take power weapons when your whole squad cmes with them, incubi, bloodletters, sang guard, or if you have initiative worth using, hqs. Every other time you take the fistBeast_a_la_Modehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03714389366534387059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270954585025025585.post-65956323331720727942010-12-10T11:10:01.128-07:002010-12-10T11:10:01.128-07:00I've recently come to this realization and you...I've recently come to this realization and you said it very well. I didn't even think about the initiative steps but it makes perfect sense, even if it sounds counter-intuitive at first.Thorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04437070475561268098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2270954585025025585.post-7297765409138154412010-12-10T11:07:37.791-07:002010-12-10T11:07:37.791-07:00I'm impressed.
I've often wondered a goo...I'm impressed.

I've often wondered a good way to break down which I should take, and which is more effecient.

The different initiative makes a big difference, and I had not thought about that.

Excelent article, and I even understood all of the reasoning, a rare enough feat these days.CounterFetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06273543429522256725noreply@blogger.com
